For Museum MORE in Gorssel, Harmeling, in collaboration with Mahkota interior design studio, created a completely redesigned museum shop. The original space was transformed into a retail environment that complements the historic building and the museum’s collection.
Museum MORE wanted to enhance its shop, both in terms of its appearance and in terms of visitor flow, clarity, and ease of use. The goal: a museum shop that contributes to a better visitor experience while also providing room for growth in product range and revenue.
Mahkota began by analyzing visitor flows and the product range. Based on this analysis, a clear design was developed featuring a separate ticket counter, logical routing, and a flexible layout. Modular display units make it easy to adapt the interior to exhibitions or seasons.
Harmeling translated the design into a custom interior, entirely crafted from solid surface Corian. This durable material is ideal for clean lines, rounded corners, and a high-quality finish.
The result is a museum shop that brings calm to the flow of visitors, enhances the experience, and presents products as small works of art.
