At Reggeburgh—the office building of VolkerWessels Construction & Real Estate Development—we installed a completely new custom interior featuring walnut and travertine.

The newly renovated five-story Reggeburgh building in Rijssen features high-quality, sustainable materials throughout its interior. The interior design was created by Reitsema & Partners Architects.
We selected high-quality materials—walnut and travertine—to ensure that the interior lasts much longer than usual, both aesthetically and structurally. The materials used age beautifully, feel warm to the touch, and complement the existing copper elements in the building. Another striking feature of the interior is the core paneling: the walls have been completely smoothed and clad with walnut-veneered panels. Furthermore, the staircase is entirely clad in travertine. And by relocating the enormous floating condor—a sculpture by artist Janos Bittenbinder—to a new spot in the atrium, the sculpture is now clearly visible from all floors. The entire building has been updated to meet current standards, particularly in terms of systems and lighting.
The scale, the detailing, and the high quality of the interior make this project special for us. The scheduling for this project was also challenging, but that is usually the case with these types of projects. As interior contractors, we were the last to begin work, so we tried to gain as much time as possible through thorough preparation. And we succeeded: the project was completed on schedule.

“When a client says that working in the new office is so enjoyable that the days seem to fly by, you know the client is satisfied”
