Meppel Housing Concept
In 2020, we completed the relocation of the office building for the housing association Woonconcept in Meppel in just three months.

As part of a turnkey construction team alongside Architecten_Lab, SKO, and the mechanical and electrical contractor Van Dorp, Harmeling renovated the headquarters of the housing association Woonconcept.
The agreements we made within the construction team were crucial. We were transparent with one another, spoke up when something was just barely acceptable or could be improved, were approachable, and contributed creative ideas—always keeping Woonconcept’s budget in mind. This allowed us to complete the entire relocation project within budget, even after accounting for unforeseen costs.
Activity-based working For this unique
project, we served as the general contractor for both the custom interior and, among other things, the floors, walls, and movable furnishings. And we deliberately call it special, because the design responds to Woonconcept’s desire to be able to work in an activity-based manner. This means that the workplace solutions are diverse and tailored to all the different activities carried out within Woonconcept.
